Refund Policy

The short version

You buy credits, not subscriptions. If a paid generation fails, the credits for the unfinished work come back to you automatically. If you buy a pack and change your mind, you have 14 days to ask for a refund while the credits are unused. Write to hello@socialstorygenerator.com and we will take care of it.

Failed and interrupted generations

Generation is the only place credits leave your balance, so it is the place we protect:

• A generation that fails costs you the finished part only. Credits are returned for the work that was not produced, page by page. This happens automatically, usually within minutes.
• Aborting mid-generation works the same way. If you stop a run that went off track, you are refunded for the pages that never happened.
• No silent losses. Every credit movement (spend, return, grant) appears in your credit history with its reason.

Refunds for credit packs

• Unused packs: if you bought a pack and have not spent any of its credits, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
• Partly used packs: if some credits are already spent, we will assess a fair refund for the unused remainder. Ask us; the answer is usually yes.
• Free credits (sign-up or promotional) have no cash value and are not refundable.

Statutory withdrawal rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Because credits are digital and consumed immediately when used, using credits during that period may reduce what can be refunded; nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.

How to request a refund

Email hello@socialstorygenerator.com from the address on your account with the order reference (visible on your credits page). We answer verified requests within five business days and return approved refunds to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, the money arrives within a few additional business days.

Watermarked free stories

Stories made with free sign-up credits carry a light watermark on the printed PDF. They cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund; making the same story again with purchased credits produces a clean, watermark-free PDF.
